Mr GOMAKUBO Junji

Consul-General Gomakubo joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1989 and has since held numerous positions in his diplomatic career, including services in the Economic Affairs Bureau and International Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry in Tokyo, and postings to France, Iraq, and primarily French-speaking countries in Africa such as Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, Madagascar and Mauritius. Consul-General Gomakubo has also held secondments to The Japan Foundation (Maison de la Culture du Japan a Paris) and to the Cabinet Office.
